Networking is the practice
of linking computing devices together with
hardware and software for the purpose of
sharing data. Networks can reach across
a single business in a local area network
(LAN) or across cities, states or even across
the world in wide area networks (WAN). Virtual
private networks (VPN) support remote access
and private data communications over public
networks as a more cost effective alternative
to leased lines.
Networks can be cabled or wireless. Wired
networking relies on copper and/or fiber
optic cabling between network devices. Wireless
networks use radio waves and/or microwaves
to maintain communication channels between
computers.
Computer networks also differ in their
design. The network may be client/server
or peer-to-peer, two of the most common
networking designs.
Our engineering methodology allows us to
identify weaknesses within each customer's
network infrastructure, and identify the
right technologies to implement reliable
and affordable network architectures.
